Cooling System and Heater Repair

Radiator Proper radiator maintenance requires that you periodically flush the cooling system in your car, truck, or SUV. By properly maintaining your cooling system, your car radiator will last longer, perform better, and remain reliable.
		Waterpump The function of the cooling system is to manage the engine temperature. This cooling component pumps the engine coolant from the radiator to the engine and back again. It is the key to the proper circulation of the coolant. It is situated close to the engine and is operated by a drive belt. If not for the water pump, the essence of the cooling system will be gone. Using a water pump is essential to allow the successful circulation of the engine coolant for heat gathering. Given that the engine releases uncontrollable heat at times, this heat has to be managed as much as possible to keep the engine from overheating. To dissipate the heat effectively, coolant needs to be circulated, and this can be successfully done with a pump.

		Heater Core The heater core uses the cooling systems antifreeze. The function of the cooling system is to remove heat from the engine, and it does this for the most part by sending the heated anti-freeze to the heater core. Air blows across the heater core and heats the automobile.
Heating Controls Heat and air conditioning ducts are controlled by vacuum motors. These are the climate controls for the car, truck or SUV. The controls send signals to sylinoids that move the ducts to different positions including heat, defrost, and vent.
